HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management appoints new Resources and Energy Group head

Appointment reinforces HSBC’s commitment to PCM and the Resources and Energy sector globally

HE30981 Kawaguchi_08-med14 September 2015 – HSBC today announced the appointment of Lance Kawaguchi as Managing Director and Global Head of Payments and Cash Management’s (PCM) Resources and Energy ‎Group.

Based in London, Lance will have global responsibility for aligning Global Payments and Cash Management strategies with HSBC’s Resources and Energy Group (REG) to provide integrated cash management solutions to a range of clients globally across the oil & gas, power & utilities, and metals & mining industries.

Commenting on the appointment, Diane S. Reyes, Group General Manager and Global Head of Payments and Cash Management said: “Lance brings considerable experience, leadership and expertise in the Resources and Energy sector globally and I am confident he will be able to help us continue to deliver world-class solutions to this important industry.”

Mr. Kawaguchi will join HSBC from Australia & New Zealand Banking Group where he was the Global Head of Oil & Gas within the Global Banking division. Previous to that, Mr. Kawaguchi held various management, coverage, and product roles with Standard Chartered, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo in the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
