Importers and trading companies from the UAE who are taking part in the hosted buyer’s programme, which is being held as part of the Brazilian Trade Mission to the UAE from February 20 to 21, 2013 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel – Dubai, expect to engage in highly fruitful discussions with the visiting Brazilian delegation comprising 30 companies from diverse sectors. The event on February 20 is strictly for UAE companies, while the event on the 21st is for regional hosted buyers.

The Trade Mission, which is being organized by Apex-Brasil and the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade under the patronage of the Brazilian Embassy in the UAE, also features seminars on “Venture Capital & Private Equity” in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Participants will benefit from direct buying opportunities from qualified sellers, while the event will also facilitate various one-to-one meetings that create opportunities to build partnerships and distribution agreements with qualified sellers as well as extending personal network among industry peers.

The visit of the Brazilian trade delegation to the UAE is being held in the backdrop of growing trade relations between the two countries. Brazilian exports to the UAE increased by 13.3 per cent from over USD 2.16 billion in 2011 to more than USD 2.45 billion in 2012, according to figures from the Brazilian Trade and Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

Meanwhile, a business meeting in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is being organized today (February 18, 2012) as part of the Trade Mission, which will be attended by companies from key sectors including food & beverage, housing and construction, machinery & equipment and auto parts.
