en.Service Bureau reduces complexity, cost and risk related to payments and other international financial transactions

    June 24, 2012

    Hazem Mulhim, CEO of EastNets

EastNets, a leading global provider of compliance and payments solutions, has announced that its en.Service Bureau solution has been recently selected by Ansbacher in the Bahamas for SWIFT connectivity, helping the bank reduce the complexity, cost and risk related to payments and other international financial transactions. EastNets is expanding rapidly in the Caribbean with several other banks in the region already using EastNets’ SWIFT service offerings, both hosted and on-site. Ansbacher joins more than 200 en.Service Bureau customers worldwide that have taken advantage of the cost effective SWIFT connectivity and value-added solutions from EastNets.

Frank Thurston, Head of IT at Ansbacher Bahamas, said: “EastNets has been recognized worldwide as a quality-driven provider of financial solutions. Our partnership with EastNets therefore serves as a reaffirmation of our commitment to provide premium-quality financial services to our customers. We are very satisfied with level of support that we have received from EastNets, from installation through to continuing professional support. With EastNets’ en.Service Bureau, Ansbacher Bank enjoys excellent connectivity to the SWIFT network, which is critical in our operations and in maintaining our competitive edge.” Adds Melissa Bowleg, Asst. Manager – Banking Ops, “The maintenance of in-house SWIFT infrastructure was a significant drain on internal resources and managing the frequent mandatory upgrades from SWIFT was becoming difficult as well as expensive to manage and keep track of for a mid size FI as ours. Our decision to move to a service model has really saved us time, effort & budget and we get access to best in class SWIFT expertise at EastNets.  Roy Sudeepto, Sales Director for Americas at EastNets confirms that the decision to move to a service model for most FI’s in the SME segment is a fast growing trend which is fuelling EastNets’ rapid expansion in the Americas, Caribbean and Canadian markets.

Hazem Mulhim, CEO of EastNets, said: “Financial institutions need to boost their business competency and productivity in light of the competitive financial environment. Outsourcing the management of complex infrastructures has become a cost effectively solution to achieve these business goals, while maintain operational efficiency and data security. Our partnership with Ansbacher Bank is a great example of the benefits of a fully hosted SWIFT connectivity solution, helping the bank free up internal resources, reduce cost and offload the risk and liability associated with managing their connection to SWIFT. EastNets’ en.Service Bureau solution gives Ansbacher Bank greater flexibility to grow its core business.”

EastNets provides both a fully managed hosting facility as well as a shared environment – both complete with disaster recovery and FileAct support. en.Service Bureau is SWIFT recognized and offers around the clock availability of its services and contingency environment.
