RBS has reinforced its commitment to the Middle East with two senior appointments within its Middle East and Africa Transaction Services Origination (TSO) business, based in Dubai.

Lloyd Caughey has joined RBS as director, TSO. He has more than 20 years experience, predominantly in trade finance sales and international banking management. Before joining RBS, he was in Australia, where he led trade sales for Westpac in New South Wales and Queensland.

He has previous experience in the Middle East as head of trade finance for ADCB and, prior to that, as head of trade and supply chain finance for emerging markets for Barclays.

Ali Raza Dharamsey has also joined RBS as director, TSO. Previously, he was head of sales, trade and working capital with Barclays covering the Gulf region.

Predominantly based in Dubai, RBS already has a prominent TSO presence in the Middle East.

Sherie Morais, head of TSO, Middle East and Africa said, “The appointment of Lloyd and Ali demonstrates RBS’s continual investment in the business and specifically trade finance, which we view as a key growth area. I am delighted to welcome them to the team and am confident that their expertise will play a significant role in growing our trade franchise in the Middle East.”
