United Arab Emirates, 5th February 2013: In line with its Emiratisation strategy and efforts to continue offering suitable opportunities for career growth, leading financial institution Mashreq announced educational sponsorship of Emirati staff within the bank. The move demonstrates Mashreq’s commitment towards nurturing talented UAE Nationals and the continuous support to accelerate their career development.

The sponsorship covered a total number of 20 UAE Nationals staff working in various departments within Mashreq enrolling into Bachelors Degree – Banking & Finance at Emirates Institute for Banking and Finance Services and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) across various universities in the UAE.

Shaker Zainal, Head of Distribution at Mashreq commented, “Education goes hand in hand with corporate experience, as it enhances productivity level as well as empowers an individual with knowledge. As an Emirati myself, similar education sponsorship opportunities are very appealing and encouraging.
