ICC-UAE partners with PayExpo MENA; a major summit bringing over 1000 FinTech experts to Dubai

Dubai, 27/11/2016 – International Chamber of Commerce (ICC-UAE) will welcome over 1000 global FinTech experts coming to Dubai to discuss the revolutionary changes in the Payments industry.  ICC-UAE has announced partnership with PayExpo MENA, a two day summit which will focus on the innovations in the payments sector.

With a UAE network of over 250,000 companies, ICC-UAE is the largest national representation of UAE commercial enterprises. The partnership with PayExpo MENA is in line with ICC-UAE’s aim to represent the local business community at the global level, and promotes its competitiveness in international business.

After a period of massive growth, payment solutions in the GCC now account for approximately 40% of all FinTech business, which makes PayExpo MENA a very timely review of opportunities and challenges in the financial services, retail, transport, mobile and leisure markets – from enhancing and encouraging the global FinTech and ecommerce scene, to revolutionising mobile financial services and banking around the world. iccAmong the topics to be covered at PayExpo MENA, Blackberry’s participation will explore the strengths and pitfalls of digital currency, which are very much in their infancy in the region; Emirates NBD’s will address the security issues around payment systems   Marka VIP – the largest ecommerce retailer in the UAE – will explain what they are doing to stay ahead of the competition, while the speaker from Etisalat will deliver payment leaders predictions. In addition Khaled Abdul Rahman Al Awadhi, Director of the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) automated collection systems department, will provide the latest industry updates on Dubai’s achievements as a smart payment city.
