Mobile banking: new service for corporates

Standard Chartered has launched a mobile application designed for its corporate clients – cash and trade authorisation for android smartphone users. This announcement follows the October 2010 launch of its iPhone application that offers authorisation capability for cash and trade to its corporate clients.

The bank says the application covers authorisation for both cash and trade functions. Mobile authorisation via the android application and “gives busy corporate treasurers better control over their working capital transactions when they are away from their desks”.

Thomas Wiles, global head of channel management, transaction banking at standard Chartered Bank, said, “smartphones are quickly changing the way people do business and manage their needs for financial information and control. With this launch, we are thrilled to extend the benefits of anytime, anywhere authorisation to our straight2Bank clients using android devices.”
